EIP Dynamics is our mechanical and electrical engineering practice, which advises start-ups, SMEs and multinationals and covers a wide range of industries, including transport (such as aerospace, automotive, marine, rail and micromobility), off-highway and agricultural machinery, household appliances, computer hardware, consumer goods, packaging, and 2D and 3D printing.
The team, located in the UK, Sweden and the US, is highly qualified with academic degrees and doctorates in key technology areas, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, integrated engineering, chemical engineering, fluid dynamics and physics. Many members of the team also have direct industry experience from past technical or legal roles within companies. We have worked with a wealth of innovations relating to mechanical systems and devices, fluid mechanics such as hydraulics, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, robotics, additive manufacturing, composite materials, smart textiles, electromagnetic devices and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). We work closely with companies to get a deep understanding of their businesses and markets and help them achieve their commercial objectives by obtaining tailored patent protection, defending patent rights when their validity is attacked, managing risks posed by third-party patent rights, and navigating due diligence exercises in investment rounds to help secure funding.
